to make you realize 1.5 year olds need some supervision. SO yesterday I'm happily working away and Nate is quiet. NOT a good combo... so I get up to see what he's doing and he comes around the island in out kitchen waving a BUTCHER KNIFE at me. Thank the LORD I paid way to much for overpriced Pampered Chef knives b/c they have saftey covers on them. Could I freak out and RUN to him? NO because then its the start of a game of chase. Hmmm... 1.5 year old running at full throttle in feetie pajamas with a butcher knife. Yeah.. no so I kept my cool and got it from him and now they have been relocated to my upper cabinet. as have the rest of the knives in the drawer. WHEW.
This morning we played a game of "throw food on the floor so I can watch her vac". Yes the first spill was an "accident"... the second was just to see what I would do. I vac'd and cleaned up and gave him a much needed spill proof bowl. Stopping Nate? I think not! Reach in and get a handful little man and throw them at me. SOOO - I get THOSE cleaned up and x-na the food.
Nate is on the sofa looking oh so sweet and innocent and snuggling with his blanket as I role up the cord of the vac.. and out of nowhere the little shit pulls out a pretzel stick he was harvesting behind him and throws is at me... yup lets see mom vac again.
By this time its 8:30am. Yeah good start to the day but hey at least my floor is clean...
